Culture in Action
Jewish culture is lived through celebration, music, learning, friendship and practical care for one another. At Jewish Culture Switzerland, we create spaces where people of different backgrounds can meet, share traditions and build meaningful connections in Bern and beyond.
Featured initiative
Jewish Open Space — Rosh Hashanah Festival
Jewish Open Space — Rosh Hashanah Festival is an international cultural and music festival that brings Jewish culture, music and meaningful encounter into public spaces. Each year, it creates opportunities for people from different backgrounds to meet, celebrate and connect.
The festival takes place in the heart of Bern, on the central square, and is part of a wider international initiative.

A dedicated festival website with participating cities and countries will be available soon.
Shared celebrations
Biblical feasts, shared table
Together with Vineyard Bern, we celebrate biblical feasts including Pesach, Shavuot and Sukkot. These gatherings bring people together around the table for tradition, conversation, music, prayer and joyful fellowship.

Community care
Standing with people from Ukraine
We support people affected by the war in Ukraine through community projects, seminars and practical connections. Our aim is to create welcoming spaces where newcomers, families and individuals can find encouragement, friendship and opportunities to take part in community life.

Next generation
Creating space for young people
Our youth and teen projects give young people space to learn, create, ask questions and build friendships. Through workshops, shared activities and meaningful conversations, they can explore Jewish culture and faith in an open and supportive environment.
